I clearly did not update the blog at all in 2012, busy with the babies I guess.
A boy monkey for William and a girl monkey for Phoebe
With the help and guidance of Sandra, I made this fantastic Christmas Wall Hanging. Sandra did the trick edge pieces, but I made the tree and did the quilting. Very proud of this one.
Celestine Balls for Emily, Grace and Stella
Lots of cot sheets for the babies
Phoebe likes to help nanny knit!
this was made for Phoebe's US holiday, but it is a bit big. Will fit her in 2013 Winter.
Half of these squares were made on our US holiday in 2012
Kept me busy in the back of the car.
This was an assembly only job, a combination of pastels from OTEN.
I am fond of the circle to square pattern, and this was fun to make. Lots of it got made in China while working there in 2012.
I always think red makes a "happy rug"
A hat with lace trim and a matching bolero for Phoebe
These amazing little squares were knitted by Elizabeth, one of my favourite knitters and I crocheted an edge around each one and then put the rug together. It was so warm.
Will got a blue beanie to match his blue cable jumper.
This is a pattern from Lion Brand. It went to the Exodus foundation winter appeal at OTEN.
The management team rug that I made, this was a lovely one. All yarns donated by my colleagues.

Dusty Dolly's Pram Blanket
Did I mention my own passion for making life difficult. I was taught how to do rudimentary tricot by Ada, my dear friend who can see any crafty object and copy it without a pattern. So imagine my delight when I started this project. Yes

Cross Stitch for Amanda
Amanda has always had a passion for Elephants, since she was a tiny girl. Her life and her home have been very influenced by them. When I saw the mother and baby elephant kit at the Stitches and Craft Show in March 2011 I bought it. When Amanda announced her pregnancy in April, well what can I say. I took this kit overseas with me recently and worked on it mainly on the plane. I will post progress pictures as I go. Baby is due on 6th December.

About This Blog
I have just returned from a four week holiday where I created my first "real" blog. It was an interesting experience, I learnt heaps and have now got the bug. With two new grandchildren arriving in early December (yes my first ones) I will be creating lots of goodies for them. So what better way to record this progress.
It will also be interspersed with other things.
